A few glasses of Jack Tempchin’s best-known song will now really give you a ‘Peaceful Easy Feeling’.
Jack Tempchin has turned his Eagles classic into a red and a white wine. ‘Peaceful Easy Feeling’ is his new Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Jack Tempchin and his wife Sheryl have created the wine brand with California’s South Coast Winery. The winery is a two times winner of the California State Winery of Awards and has won Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence in 2011.
According to the winery, The Chardonnay “was fermented and aged exclusively in a blend of European oak that was selected from forests in France, Hungary, Russia and Germany. The oak adds a beautiful note of toasty vanilla and spice to the ever present apple and tropical fruit aromas. Approximately 18% of this wine underwent malolactic fermentation, which adds mouthfeel and a delicate buttery bouquet. The style of this wine is balanced oak and fruit, so that both components are in singular harmony, each accentuating the other. Bright acidity gives a nice lift and wonderful drinkability to this popular wine. This wine will continue to grow in complexity as it ages, and has the capacity to go for several years in the bottle. Pairs with rich sauces and seafood or fowl, as well as being the perfect aperitif”.
The Cab Sav has “a rich concentrated character, layered with jammy black cherry and cassis aromas; the bouquet is radiant in its complexity of forest floor and leafy herbal notes. The oak finish is restrained and velvety upon first taste, the tannins are supple and the firm acidity makes this Cabernet a well-structured wine that definitely brings to mind a Peaceful Easy Feeling”.
