Jack White’s ‘Blunderbuss’ was the biggest selling vinyl album of 2012 bumping The Beatles ‘Abbey Road’ from the top of the chart.
Every year Nielsen SoundScan registers the biggest selling albums on vinyl and for the past two years ‘Abbey Road’ has topped the chart.
In 2012, ‘Abbey Road’ was the second biggest album on vinyl. That’s not bad for an album that was released in 1969.
Vinyl sold 4.6 million in the USA in 2012. That was an increase of 17.7% on the previous year.
