Jackson Browne Australian Tour Plays Brisbane

by Paul Cashmere on March 31, 2016

in Live,News

Jackson Browne played Brisbane on Wednesday night with another in-depth setlist spanning the 44 years since his debut album ‘Jackson Browne’ aka ‘Saturate Before Using’.

Browne released his most recent album ‘Standing In The Breach’ in late 2014 and spends a good chunk of the current tour showcasing the album. It’s predecessor ‘Time The Conqueror’, released eight years earlier in 2008, has so far only been represented with the track ‘Just Say Yeah’ early in the set.

Browne has been juggling the old from town to town. Sydney was treated to ‘Rosie’ and ‘Late For The Sky’ days earlier while Brisbane fans heard ‘For Everyman’ and ‘Doctor My Eyes’, Browne’s very first hit song.

Jackson Browne talks about his music and career this week on Noise11’s iHeartRadio show. Listen here live now.

After 29 Years Sex Pistols Return To Melbourne’s Festival Hall #Review

The one criticism I must say about Sex Pistols 2025 is that unlike 1977, we now have musicians who can play and a singer who can sing. You’ve also got to love that three guys fast approaching 70 have made their career for the past half a century out of a lyric that goes “No future for you, no future me”. As that wise old philosopher Alanis Morissette once said, “isn’t it ironic, don’t you think?”.
