Legendary singer songwriter James Taylor will perform a Transatlantic Crossing gig on aboard the Queen Mary 2 in 2014.

Grammy Awarding Taylor has sold over 100 million albums over his career and is known for the classics like “Fire and Rain,” “Country Road,” “Something in the Way She Moves,” “Mexico,” “Shower the People,” “Your Smiling Face,” “Carolina In My Mind,” and “Sweet Baby James.”

Taylor has been signed to play two concerts on the Queen Mary 2 when it crosses the Atlantic from New York, USA to Southampton, UK in August.

The complete cross Atlantic journey takes eight nights. “For anyone who admires James Taylor’s music, this is a dream come true: an opportunity to enjoy his performance in a more intimate setting, while aboard one of the world’s most iconic ships,” says Matthew D. Upchurch, CTC, Chairman and CEO of booking company Virtuoso.

The Queen Mary 2 has previously hosted shows by Rod Stewart, Lenny Kravitz and Dave Brubeck.

Fares for the James Taylor cruise start from $2088 per person.

James Taylor Farewells Australia With Final Tour (Melbourne Review)

I could go to a James Taylor show just for the stories. The man is a part of music history and is still around to tell the tales of how it all began. Like, for instance, being the first artist signed to Apple Records. James “auditioned” for Apple with his song ‘Something In The Way She Moves’. "Paul went away and started the label and George went away and wrote the song”, he said.
