Janet Jackson’s Sydney fans were left disappointed last night when the singer cancelled her show just one hour before she was due to perform.
The show at the Sydney Opera House was already a replacement show for the ones she postponed two weeks ago when she flew back to America to be with her family during the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray.
This time there will be no further rescheduling and fans have been told they will receive a refund.
The statement from promoter Paul Dainty reads:
“It is with regret that Dainty Group announces that tonight’s Janet Jackson Number Ones: Up Close and Personal concert, at the Sydney Opera House, cannot proceed.
“… Doctors have ordered Miss Jackson to undertake vocal rest for the next 2 days, so she can complete the 3rd and final show of her Australian tour, this Tuesday night at the Sydney Opera House.
“Unfortunately, there will not be a replacement concert scheduled, so all patrons will receive a full refund at the Sydney Opera House Box office tonight or from the point of purchase.
“Please contact the Sydney Opera House Box Office on 02 9250 7777 for refund information”.
Tomorrow night’s show will be the last on her Australian tour.
