30 Seconds To Mars singer Jared Leto will return to be big screen soon playing a transsexual in the movie ‘Dallas Buyers Club’.
Leto stars in the true-life movie about Ron Woodruff alongside Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner.
“It is the first time I’ve made a movie in 5 years,” Leto tells Noise11. “I play a transsexual in 1985. He gets AIDS and he is dying so it is quite a transformative role. The first time I’ve made a film in a whole, so we’ll see what happens”.
Before forming 30 Seconds To Mars, Leto starred in movies such as ‘How To Make An American Quilt’ and ‘Fight Club’. He was also in ‘American Psycho’, ‘Panic Room’ and Girl, Interrupted’.
In more recent years Let’s music career took up his time. He told Noise11 that he didn’t make a movie in years because he was “too busy. You can’t do it all. It is really hard to find three to six months to go spend on a film when you’ve got tours and albums and all kinds of things happening. Good problems, just not a lot of time to do everything”.
‘Dallas Buyers Club’ will be released later this year. The new 30 Seconds To Mars album ‘Love, Lust, Faith + Dreams’ was released in Australia on Friday and will be out in the USA next Tuesday.
