Jay-Z has dismissed rumours that his wife Beyoncé Knowles is pregnant.
The hip-hop mogul and the songstress share 14-month-old daughter Blue Ivy.
Recently, speculation has been rife that the two stars are expecting their second child together.
A source reported to E! News last week the singer was indeed carrying a baby.
Apparently Jay-Z himself delivered a message to Hot 97 radio station in New York City discounting the rumours.
Hot 97’s programme manager Ebro Darden sent the rapper a congratulatory email about the couple’s supposed new addition. Jay-Z’s response to the message made it clear the baby talk was bogus.
‘It’s not true,’ Ebro revealed in a Hot 97 video clip.
‘Jay-Z emailed Ebro over the weekend and told him the pregnancy rumour is false,’ Peter Rosenberg confirmed on the station’s morning show Monday.
Beyoncé fuelled baby rumours last week when she cancelled one of her The Mrs Carter Show tour concerts at the last minute.
She was due to take to the stage in Belgium on Tuesday but cited sickness from dehydration and exhaustion.
Gossip mushroomed after Beyoncé said she wanted Blue to have some ‘company’ from a sibling on Good Morning America earlier this month.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z married in 2008 after meeting in 2002 and have kept their relationship largely under wraps.
Jay-Z spoke previously about the importance of not publicly commenting on their union.
“We don’t play with our relationship,’ he told People magazine.
