Perth’s Jebediah is set for a national run of dates to mark their 20th anniversary with a series of shows in Sydney this week and then a lap of Australia including a run of four nights in Melbourne.

Jebediah took the opportunity to invite special guests from their early days Front End Loader, Fur, Red Jezebel, Turnstyle, Screamfeeder, Adalita, Bodyjar and Beaverloop to open on selected dates. Beaverloop and Fur have reformed for the shows.

Sony Music acknowledged the 20th anniversary with the release of the Jebediah compilation ‘Twenty’ to mark the occasion.

The members of Jebediah, Kevin Mitchell, Chris Daymond, Vanessa Thornton and Brett Mitchell were all teenagers when they formed the band in Perth in 1995. Jebediah released their debut album ‘Slightly Odway’ in 1997. The album peaked at no 7 in Australia and sold over 140,000 copies. The second album ‘Of Someday Shambles’ in 1999 was also a platinum album in Australia.

Jebediah dates

June 4 and 5, Sydney, The Metro
June 12, Brisbane, The Tivoli
June 17, 18, 19, 20, Melbourne, The Corner
June 25, Adelaide, HQ
June 26, 27, 28, Perth, Astor Theatre
