Two giants of guitar, Jeff Beck and Buddy Guy, opened their tour on Tuesday night at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY.

Guy opened with a nine song set that dipped as far back as his cover of Little Willie John’s Fever from his 1968 album This is Buddy Guy! and up to just one song from his last album, Born to Play Guitar. There was also a cover of the Marvin Gaye song Ain’t That Peculiar.

Beck played a fourteen song set, including encore, that featured six of the eleven tracks from his album Loud Hailer which was released last Friday. The rest of the show was a bit of a mixed bag, with a single track from each of his classic albums Truth and Blow By Blow.

Buddy Guy’s set list:

Damn Right I’ve Got the Blues (from Damn Right I’ve Got the Blues, 1991)
Five Long Years (from Damn Right I’ve Got the Blues, 1991)
