Jeremy Loops Recruits Vlogger For ‘Waves’ Video

South African singer songwriter Jeremy Loops has recruited vlogger Ben Brown to create his latest video ‘Waves’.

Brown, the former athlete now YouTuber, has a lifestyle channel of short films on just about everything. He took Jeremy Loops to Mozambique crystal clear waves to make ‘Waves’.

‘Waves’ is the lead track from Loops ‘Critical As Water’ album. The album was produced by Will Hicks (Ed Sheeran, Lily Allen) and Jake Gosling (The Libertines, James Bay).

‘I grew frustrated trying to force the music because I knew the album was due, but one night after an incredible surf, I got home, picked up my guitar, and wrote ‘Waves’,” Jeremy said in a statement. “Coincidence or not, I became deliberate about scheduling time in the ocean as a means to writing the album and the songs just kept coming’ explains Loops. He concludes, saying that ‘it isn’t all doom and gloom. If anything, this is the most beautiful piece of music I’ve ever made and it’s warm and lush, but the joyful highs are tempered by the real urgency of the problems the world is facing. Times are always changing. We all have the innate ability to flow like water to adapt to it. I like that about life, and I especially like how that comes across on this album. It feels wonderfully rounded.’

Music education in the UK faces significant challenges, with varying needs across regions, schools, and age groups. While the UK music industry contributed a record £7.6 billion to the economy in 2024 (source: UKMusic.org), disparities still remain in terms of access to music education.
