Master dobro guitarist Jerry Douglas prepares an album featuring Eric Clapton, Paul Simon, Dr John, Mumford & Sons, Alison Krauss and more.
Jerry Douglas has won a whopping 13 Grammys and is widely-known as the host of PBS TV’s folk music show The Journey and as a soloist with Alison Krauss and Union Station.
Now he is about to release an all-star album of Americana titled Traveler featuring a galaxy of stars. In addition to Clapton, Simon, Dr John, Krauss and Mumford & Sons, he has enlisted the talents of Marc Cohn, Keb Mo, Bela Fleck, Del McCoury, Sam Bush, Omar Hakim and Viktor Krauss.
The album was recorded in Nashville, New Orleans and London and features ‘The Boxer’ with Paul Simon and Mumford & Sons, as well as New Orleans classics ‘Something You Got’ and ‘High Blood Pressure’.
