Jet To Reissue First Two Albums

by Paul Cashmere on November 3, 2016

in News

Jet’s first two albums ‘Get Born’ and ‘Shine On’ will be expanded and reissued on 25 November.

‘Get Born’ was a million plus seller in the USA in 2003 and sold 8x platinum in Australia. The second album ‘Shine On’ peaked at no 16 in the USA, no 13 in the UK and no 3 in Australia.

Drummer Chris Cester says the band recorded an excess of material during the sessions for both albums. “Once the ball started rolling, things were happening quickly and we needed more songs to round out the set. We only had 13 songs. Get Born basically! It was a wild time, and a really creative period. We had pretty much been high for three years straight! These recordings were lost for years but then re-appeared down the line somehow,” Chris said in a statement.

Michael Gudinski’s Liberation will reissue both albums on 25 November. The third Jet album ‘Shaka Rock’ is not currently on the reissue schedule.
