Jim Keays’ final album ‘Age Against The Machine’ will be released to mark the first anniversary of his death.
‘Age Against The Machine’ will be released on June 12, 2015. The legendary Masters Apprentices singer died on June 13, 2014.
Keays had been working on ‘Age Against The Machine’ with the same band he used for his previous record ‘Dirty Dirty’. The album features Jim on lead vocals with You Am I’s Davey Lane on guitar, producer Ted Lethborg on bass and Brett Wolfenden on drums.
As singer for The Masters Apprentices, Jim Keays was one of the most charismatic and ferocious frontmen of the 60s. The Masters Apprentices were Australia’s Rolling Stones. Their string of hits, now classics, include ‘Turn Up Your Radio’, ‘Because I Love You’, ‘Elevator Driver’ and ‘Living In A Childs Dream’.
