Jimmy Barnes Has The No 1 Book In Australia

by Paul Cashmere on September 30, 2016

in News

Jimmy Barnes has achieved his first no 1 book. ‘Working Class Boy’ is a best-seller in Australia.

Bookscan is reporting ‘Working Class Boy’ was officially the top selling book in Australia last week and biggest seller for a debut author of its kind in five years.

The book is a prelude to a national tour where Jimmy will tell his story through songs on the ‘Working Class Boy: An Evening of Stories and Songs’ tour.

“Both the live show and the book are obviously the most personal projects I’ve ever done”, says Jimmy. “It’s amazing to see the way people have responded to the exact things that I’ve spent a lifetime trying to hide. I’m very grateful that the book and this tour are striking such a chord. Hopefully it might help other people who’ve been through similar things to share their stories too.”

Shows have been added in Canberra, Hobart and Launceston.
