Jimmy Eat World Add Download Sideshows In Australia

by Tim Cashmere on December 4, 2019

in News

Emo legends Jimmy Eat World have announced headline shows in Brisbane, Adelaide and Fremantle alongside their appearance at the Download Festival.

The band are heading down under for the first time in three years. This time they’re bringing with them songs from their tenth studio album Surviving.

Surviving is Jimmy Eat World in 2019. While much of the record is the same power-pop sound that fans have come to know and love, two songs – Delivery and 555 take a synth-driven indie pop turn.

Lyrically they haven’t changed. The record is still drenched with open and honest lyrics. 555 closes with the line “I keep my focus on the simple things, trying to find some peace along the way”.
