With the passing of country legend Glnn Campbell this week iHeartRadio music news powered by Noise11.com revisits out interview with songwriter Jimmy Webb where he talks about his life-long friend.
Webb wrote the songs that made Campbell the star he became. Together they had one of the most successful music partnership of the last half century. Jimmy tells Noise11 how the right-winged Campbell found common ground with the left-winged “hippy”.
Also this week came news that the original Ted Mulry Gang members Herm Kovac and Les Hall along with original second guitarist Gary Dixon, new recruit on bass Mark Evans (ex-AC/DC) and the voice supplied by Ted’s brother Steve Mulry for a show in Sydney to mark what would have been Ted’s 70th birthday on 2 September.
Herm Kovac has a lot of rock and roll stories to tell and more some you might need to cover your ears. He is on the show this week.
Also this week Rose Tattoo announce a new line-up, Motorhead cover Bowie, the Stones to release live 2015 Sticky Fingers show and you’ll hear the first release from the lost Neil Young album of 41 years ago ‘Hitchhiker’.
