Blues/Rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa will return to Australia in September and he will have Anton Fig, Reese Wynans and Mahalia Barnes in the band.

Anton Fig is the US session drummer who was seen worldwide in David Letterman’s house band. He has played on albums for Bob Dylan, Warren Zevon, BB King, Peter Frampton and Kiss.

Reese Wynans was a member of Stevie Ray Vaughan’s Double Trouble and had played with Buddy Guy, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Martina McBride and Hank Williams Jr.

Mahalia Barnes has had a long connection to Bonamassa including their ‘Ooh Yeah! The Betty Davis Songbook’ album of 2015 and previous Australian tour. Joe has also recorded with Mahalia’s dad Jimmy for the 30:30 Hindsight album on the versions of ‘Stone Cold’ and ‘Too Much Ain’t Enough Love’.

“I am really looking forward to coming back to play for the fans in Australia who have always supported me,” explains Joe. “They are amazing!”
