Australian jazz great Joe Chindamo is the latest recipient into the Graeme Bell Jazz Hall of Fame.
Joe was added the Hall of Fame at the Australian Jazz Bell Awards in Melbourne on Monday night, joining James Morrison, Brian Brown, Tony Gould, Bob Barnard, Mike Nock, Bernie McGann, Don Burrows, Allan Brown, John Pochée and Ade Monsbourgh.
The first Jazz Bell Awards was held in 2003. “This year marks a milestone for the Australian Jazz Bells Awards as we have opened up the voting process for the first round to include members of the Australian Jazz Academy. In doing so we have made the Nomination process more transparent and democratic,” says founder and chairman of the awards Albert Dadon AM.
