Guy Peace is set to release his second album ‘The Nomad’ with production from Joe Henry.
Singer songwriter Joe Henry is himself a veteran of over a dozen albums including his 2016 release ‘Shine A Light’ with Billy Bragg and his 2017 release ‘Thrum’.
Joe is also the brother-in-law of Madonna. He is married to Madonna’s sister Melanie. He co-wrote her hits ‘Don’t Tell Me’ and ‘Jump’.
Guy Pearce co-produced ‘The Nomad’. It is his sequel to 2014’s ‘Broken Bones’.
Says Pearce, ‘I had a rather tumultuous year back in 2015. It began, sadly with my marriage coming to an end.
‘After going on the road to tour “Broken Bones” in February I then started work on some new material, which is essentially what’s formed this new record. It is very personal and does delve into the melancholy at times but it also allows for that beautiful ‘silver lining’ that keeps us going in life. It was such a joy to collaborate with my old pal Joe Henry at ‘United Recording’ in LA. What an amazing and historic studio, and working with the musicians Joe invited was a truly inspiring and uplifting process.’
Due to filming commitments Guy Pearce will only play a one-off show to launch the album on 8 July 2018 at the Playhouse at Arts Centre Melbourne.
