Rapper Joey Bada$$ has been changed with assault after allegedly punching a security guard at the Falls Festival at Byron Bay.
The incident happened at around 8:30pm last Friday evening (January 1) when the rapper was about to go on stage for his performance at the northern New South Wales music festival.
Bada$$ (real name Jo-Vaughan Jalani Virginie) faced court in Byron Bay on Saturday and has been bailed to appear back at the Byron Bay Local Court on March 19.
At Falls, Joey Bada$$ left his fans wanting more when he cut his show short.
“To all my fans in Sydney, Australia I sincerely apologize but I could not finish the show my voice is too shot & I’m in pain…. Sorry,” he said in a Tweet.
