John Farnham To Open New Sydney Venue

John Farnham will be the first performer for Sydney’s newest venue The Star Event Centre.

Farnham, who hasn’t performed live at all during 2012, will lead the series of events for The Event Centre to coincide with Australia Day activities on January 24, 2013.

“We’ll bring all our bells and whistles to bear to do our best to make it a good night,” John said in a statement.

“There is always excitement from our band and crew whenever John comes out to perform. Its like a scene from the Cannon Ball Run film,” his manager Glenn Wheatley added.

Farnham’s last tour was ‘Whispering Jack – 25 Years On’ in 2011.

The Star Event Centre is in Sydney’s Star Casino.
