David Letterman has put together one of the best lineups of classic artists that late night has seen in some time as he winds down to his final show later this month.

On Wednesday night, his musical guests included John Popper from Blues Traveler, who sat in with the band, and John Fogerty, who played a three-song medley of Creedence Clearwater songs.

Fogerty hits the road next month for his 1969 tour where he’ll play songs from CCR’s three albums released that year, Bayou Country, Green River and Willy and the Poor Boys. He also has a memoir coming out in October.
