John Lydon was up to his usual rotten behaviour during his interview on The Project on Tuesday night.

Lydon of Public Image Limited aka Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols was rude and sexist to The Project’s Carrie Bickmore. While it seemed to shock Bickmore, the presenters and sectors of the audience, was Johnny really being rotten or just being Johnny?

The whole thing is just his act. If he wasn’t being rude and sexist then he wouldn’t be John Lydon. Earlier in the interview he said, “bad press is my own spawn,” but when Carrie tried to get a question in about Margaret Thatcher Lydon exploded with “hey, hey, hey Mrs, Mrs … shut-up, Whoever you are shut-up, shut-up, shut-up. When a man is talking do not interrupt. ”

He then added, “you sound like one of those dreadful loud birds I don’t like.”

“I went with it at first because bad press is his thing but he ain’t funny and its damn rude,” Carrie said after the interview.

Earlier in the day Lydon also hung-up on ABC Melbourne radio broadcaster Red Symons.

Lydon was being rotten, but that’s just John Lydon. File under: not to be taken seriously. UPDATE: John Lydon calls Carrie Bickmore the Sexist.

Remaining dates for Public Image Limited are:

April 10, Sydney
April 11, Melbourne, Palace Theatre

Toto Returns To Melbourne #Review

Toto’s 2025 setlist focuses on the heritage of the band. The setlist was interesting. Compared to how it was curated for Australia in 2019 this time Toto kept to the albums of the 1900s. Mind you, there were no complaints from the audience for doing that. The biggest hits came from those early years.
