John Mellencamp will return to Australia in February for his first tour since 2008.
Mellencamp’s “posse” will include Jewel and Carlene Carter. It will be Jewel’s first Australian tour since 2004.
John Mellencamp released his 20th album ‘Plain Spoken’ in 2014 after signing a lifetime contract with Republic Records. The cover photo was taken but his then girlfriend, actress Meg Ryan.
Jewel’s 12th album ‘Picking Up The Pieces’ was released this year. It featured the track ‘My Father’s Daughter;, a duet with Dolly Parton.
Carlene Carter, the daughter of June Carter and her first husband Carl Smith, has released nine studio albums. The most recent was ‘Carter Girl’ I 2014.

John Mellencamp, Jewel and Carlene Carter will tour Australia for Paul Dainty.
Tickets go on sale at 10am (local time) on Friday October 23 for performances in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra and the Hunter Valley.
