US singer songwriter John Murry will perform his first shows in Australia this week for the Sydney Festival.
Murry released his debut album ‘The Graceless Age’ in 2013. By the year’s end it was listed by The Guardian, Mojo and American Singer Songwriter as one of the Top 50 best albums of 2013.
The Mississippi born songwriter put his life experiences into ‘The Graceless Age’ with stories about how he overcome a heroine addiction and turned his life around the common theme of the record. Murry no longer drinks or takes drugs but is a self-confessed chain smoker whose beverage of choice is now Diet Coke.
John Murry live is a show for fans of Neil Young or Wilco.
John Murry is touring Australia for Gaynor Crawford Presents.
