The Johnny Cash commemorative stamp was released today by the United States Postal Service. Being a “forever” stamp, you can stock up and use them at anytime in the future no matter the current postal rate for a letter.
The picture used for the stamp is from a promotional shot for the 1963 album Ring of Fire: The Best of Johnny Cash.
Members of the Cash family and friends are gathering tonight at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville to celebrate the release and the Cash legacy. Performers include Randy Travis, Marty Stuart, Larry Gatlin, the Oak Ridge Boys, Jamey Johnson, the Roys and Cash’s brother and sister Tommy Cash and Joanne Cash Yates.
