Willie Nelson has a special guest bass player at this Austin Rodeo show on Sunday. Johnny Depp played bass.
The legendary Nelson introduced the legendary Depp simply as “John”. Johnny Depp perform Willie’s classic ‘On The Road Again’ with the great man.

Nelson has been performing consistently over six decades. During his career he has released over 200 albums.
Nelson, a resident of Austin, Tx, will be performing this Saturday night at the ACL Theater during SXSW. The ACL Theatre is on the aptly named Willie Nelson Boulevard.
In 2012 Austin declared April 20 Willie Nelson Day. On April 20 at 4:20pm the city unveiled a statute of Willie outside of the ACL Theater so Willie is now permanently stoned. The significance of the date 4 20 did not go unnoticed either. 4 20 is a reference to the marijuana term 420 (four twenty) used in cannabis subculture as a reference to the use of cannabis.
