Jon Bon Jovi will do anything in his power to help restore the East Coast following Hurricane Sandy.
America’s Tri-state area was devastated on October 29 by Hurricane Sandy. Cities were flooded, millions of people went without power and family homes were destroyed.
Jon will be performing at the charity 121212 concert Wednesday at Madison Square Garden to benefit victims of the disaster.
The New Jersey native couldn’t be more honoured to help out his community.
‘That’s my people,’ Jon told Extra at the New York City premiere of movie Stand Up Guys.
‘The whole area was dramatically affected, but we”ll rebuild. That’s what we do.’
Jon will be sharing the stage with Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel and The Rolling Stones.
He believes concertgoers will be in for the time of their lives.
‘It’s like a who’s who,’ he gushed.
‘If you were to die and go to heaven, that”s the lineup you want to be a part of.’
Jon wrote two songs for the soundtrack of upcoming crime comedy Stand Up Guys starring Al Pacino.
The musician was elated to meet Al, one of his idols.
‘To be able to write something for him, to get the note from him, telling me how he loved it, to actually have met him, that’s why I”m here today,’ he said.
‘I’m enjoying the moment.’
