Musicians all over the world are paying tribute to Deep Purple founder Jon Lord who passed away today at the age of 71.

Lord, the keyboard player for Deep Purple and later Whitesnake, had a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Artists have taken to Twitter to pay their respects.
