The condition of Ian Molly Meldrum is more serious than first thought with his doctor confirming that the music guru is in a coma from the fall, not an induced coma.
Professor Jeffrey Rosenfeld from The Alfred Hospital told media this morning that Molly was “in a deep coma when ambulance officers got to him.”
He has confirmed that “the next 24 hours is critical”. He also said that he cannot estimate at this stage when Molly will come out of the coma.
Molly’s manager Mark Klemens says that Molly has “suffered significant injuries to his chest area, shoulder-blade area, head injuries and a fractured skull.”
