Justin Bieber thinks he’s figured out how to find his way ‘through most things’.
The 21-year-old singer had a tumultuous year in 2014, having had numerous run ins with the law and and an on-again-off-again relationship with fellow musician Selena Gomez. But in recent months he has revealed himself to be a reformed character, publicly apologising for his actions and admitting that it hasn’t been an easy journey for him.
‘There have been times where it has been difficult,” he told People magazine. “But as long as I put God and family first, I can find my way through most things. I also find it important to surround myself with people who are honest and hold me accountable for my actions ‘ that helps a lot, too.”
That will hopefully mean no more arrests for DUI or throwing eggs at neighbour’s properties, as was the case last year.
Now it seems Justin has got his head down and is focused on his music, as well as being a good role model. But it isn’t just his legion of fans that he wants to set a good example to, but his younger siblings as well.
The Canadian has half-sister Jazmyn, six and half-brother Jaxon, five, from his dad Jeremy. The Boyfriend singer loves spending time with the youngsters, and they’ve helped him realise where his priorities need to be.
‘I love my brother and sister so much,” he added. “I want to help them be the best they can be and being someone they can look up to is definitely an important part of that.”
