Justin Bieber kicks off 2013 by announcing the release of his new acoustic album, Believe Acoustic, followed by a stint as host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live.
Set for release at the end of the month, the 11-song album will contain acoustic versions of eight songs from Justin’s worldwide multi-platinum #1 album Believe.
These include acoustic takes on four of his biggest radio hits, being ‘Boyfriend’, ‘As Long As You Love Me’, ‘Beauty And A Beat’ and ‘All Around The World’, as well as acoustic renditions of album tracks ‘Take You’ and ‘Be Alright’.
Also given the acoustic treatment is ‘She Don’t Like The Lights’, which was originally a bonus track on the deluxe version of 2012’s Believe, and a live studio version of ‘Fall’.
All acoustic tracks were co-produced by Justin Bieber and his guitarist Dan Kanter.
The remaining 3 tracks are previously unreleased songs ‘Yellow Raincoat’, ‘I Would’ and ‘Nothing Like Us’.
‘Nothing Like Us’ is written and produced solely by Justin, described as giving fans “an unprecedented and intimate glimpse of young love.”
Bieber also returns to Saturday Night Live on February 9th, both as the show’s host and its musical guest.
He is no stranger to the show, having been a musical guest back in April 2010 and then making a cameo in the 100th ‘Lonely Island’ digital short last year.
TMZ reported that Justin has apparently told the show’s writers that nothing is off-limits for his appearance, including jokes about the recent allegations of pot smoking.
Believe Acoustic is due to arrive in stores on January 29th, and is now available for pre-order on iTunes.
