Kanye West and Jay-Z launch the decadent ‘Otis’ video and a SoHo pop-up store selling physical copies of Watch The Throne.
The launch of Watch The Throne has been a heavily-managed affair, with exclusive iTunes and Best Buy releases and video premieres.
Now it seems the floodgates have opened.
MTV reports that a pop-up store opened in Manhattan’s SoHo district to celebrate the physical release of Watch The Throne.
The storefront was wrapped in the gold-plated cover design and was not only selling physical copies of one of the most anticipated albums of the year but also had the chopped up luxury Maybach car from the video for single ‘Otis’.
MTV also had an exclusive on that clip late last week, but now the full version of Spike Jonze’s crazy directorial effort up on Kanye’s Vevo page.
It features a dressed-down street version of the rappers, who end up doing donuts around a dusty lot in a ripped-up Maybach, a luxury car beloved by the hip-hop fraternity that cost up to a million dollars.
