Kanye West’s second album ‘Late Registration’ turned 10 this week.
The album, released on August 30, 2005, followed the success of his debut ‘The College Dropout’ one year earlier with US sales of around 3.1 million to date.
‘Late Registration’ is West’s second biggest seller to date after ‘The College Dropout’ with the debut ahead with only 300,000 sales.
‘Late Registration’ was full of guests including Adam Levine, Lupe Fiasco, Jamie Foxx, Common, The Game, Brandy, Nas and Jay-Z.
The album was nominated for Grammy of the Year the following year but won Best Rap Album. he also won Best Rap Solo Performance for ‘Gold Digger’ and ‘Best Rap Song’ for ‘Diamonds From the Sierra Leone’.
West will release his seventh album ‘SWISH’ later this year.
