Kanye West left modesty at the door when describing his new album Swish as “the best of all time”.
West isn’t known for being humble and declared himself the greatest living rock star on the planet during his Glastonbury 2015 headline slot.
Now it seems that along with that accolade, Kanye thinks his latest work will go down in history for all the right reasons.
“So happy to be finished with the best album of all time,” Kanye told his 17.5 millions Twitter followers, adding a photo of a handwritten track list.
At the bottom of his notepad another message was added, stating that “KYLIE WAS HERE”, seemingly meaning his sister-in-law Kylie Jenner was at the recording.
Swish is Kanye’s hotly-anticipated seventh album and comes nearly three years after his last offering Yeezus.
The new record has already been making headlines, with track Facts suggesting all is not well between Kanye and basketball star LeBron James. In the song Kanye calls out sports giant Nike, which the singer fell out with after he alleged the company didn’t offer him decent royalties on his Air Yeezy shoes and delayed the release of his Red October designs.
The lyric “Nike, Nike, treat employees just like slaves/Gave LeBron a billi’ not to run away,” got fans wondering about Kanye’s view on LeBron, but the singer was left unimpressed with the gossip.
“The media tried to make it seem like I was downplaying LeBron on my song FACTS which I would never do, Lebron is fam (family) bottom line,” he fumed on Twitter.
Regardless, fans can’t wait for the February 11 (16) release of Swish, especially as Kendrick Lamar features on the album. The hip-hop star and Kanye collaborated on song No More Parties in L.A.
