Chicago producer No I.D. says that Kanye West will have a new album out before 2012 finishes.
Regular Kanye collaborator No I.D. has told MTV that the follow-up to 2010’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy will be released after the G.O.O.D. Music compilation drops in August.
Last week Kanye delivered ‘New God Flow’ with Pusha T, and ‘Mercy’ before that, for the August compilation Cruel Summer. Chicago producer No I.D. told MTV “This is Kanye. You know what to expect from the family. He hasn’t missed yet, so don’t expect him to miss.”
No I.D. clarified that he wasn’t working on Cruel Summer, but “I’m working on his album”. He said that the new Kanye solo album is “coming right after” Cruel Summer, which is due on August 7 and features Pusha T, 2 Chainz, Big Sean and more.
As for what we might hear from the hip-hop icon, No I.D. says, “It’s what you expect and everything you don’t expect.” Sounds just about right.
In the meantime, check out the clip for ‘Mercy’ below.
