Kasey Chambers will release an expanded edition of her breakthrough debut ‘The Captain’ on 17 May, 2019, exactly 20 years to the day the original album was released.
The new bonus disc will include previously unreleased songs from The Captain sessions and Kasey talking about the record.
‘Hey Girl’ is one of the previously released tracks.
In 1999 Kasey said of the record, “I’d like to convert some people with this record. I think it has the potential to prove that country music has a lot more depth and soul.”
‘The Captain’ earned Kasey her first ARIA Award. Kasey has been inducted in to the ARIA Hall of Fame. She has released 11 albums since that first release.
