Kate Bush removes Rolf Harris contribution from Aerial reissue

by Paul Cashmere on November 13, 2018

Kate Bush has had the work of convicted sexual assault perpetrator Rolf Harris removed from the new remaster of her 2005 ‘Aerial’ album.

Harris provided a spoken word part in the track ‘An Architect’s Dream’ and on ‘A Painters Link’. Kate’s son Albert ‘Bertie’ McIntosh, who performed the part on the ‘Before The Dawn’ shows, has replaced Harris and is credited on the new edition.

‘Aerial’ was the second album Harris played on for Bush. The first was 1982’s ‘The Dreaming’. Harris played didgeridoo on the title track and that one seems to have been left in place for the reissues.

Rolf Harris was found guilty of 12 counts of sexual assault in 2014.

The entire Kate Bush catalogue will be reissued this month on vinyl and CD.

Vinyl Box Set 1 (out Nov. 16th): The Kick Inside, Lionheart, Never For Ever, and The Dreaming
Vinyl Box Set 2 (out Nov. 16th): Hounds of Love, The Sensual World, and The Red Shoes
Vinyl Box Set 3 (out Nov. 30th): Aerial, Director’s Cut, and 50 Words for Snow
Vinyl Box Set 4 (out Nov. 30th): 12″ Mixes, The Other Side 1, The Other Side 2, and In Others’ Words
