Following last week’s announcement that Kate Miller-Heidke would be releasing her new album ‘O Vertigo!’ independently, the singer-songwriter’s crowd-funding campaign with Pledge Music has reached its target in just three days.

This sees Miller-Heidke’s campaign become the fastest and most successful direct-to-fan campaign by an Australian artist.

The campaign is to fund the recording of Miller-Heidke’s afformentioned ‘O Vertigo!’ album. For the basic pledges, fans that pledge money to the campaign will instantly receive an 11-track live album and will also receive a download of the album on release date which is currently slated for a March 14th 2014.

For die-hard fans that have a bit more money to spend, they can purchase various experiences and perks, including getting your name in the liner notes, a phone call on you birthday, an acoustic gig at you home and a chance to have your name on the door for each and every Kate Miller-Heidke show for life.

Due to the success of the campaign, Miller-Heidke has added the opportunity for fans to visit her in the studio during the recording of the album. While you’re there you’ll have the chance to record hand-claps for a new song and be credited as a performer for doing so.

For those who feel that their money would be better spent in a more philanthropic way, bear in mind that 5% of everything raised will go towards the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) to support the saving of the Great Barrier Reef.

To further celebrate the success of the campaign, a run of tour dates to support ‘O Vertigo!’ have also been announced. This will see Miller-Heidke touring capital cities through March and April 2014 and will no doubt include a bunch of new songs from said album.

Tickets will be on sale from 10am on October 10th with the exception of the Adelaide show that will go on sale in late November.
