Keith Flint of The Prodigy dead at 49

Keith Flint, singer for The Prodigy has been found dead in his home in Essex. He was 49.

The Prodigy only wrapped up a tour of Australia and New Zealand on February 5. The band had dates set for a US tour in May.

No details of the death have been released at this stage although Essex police say there are no suspicious circumstances. They were called to the home of Keith Flint around 8am and said that they had “concerns for the welfare of a man”.

UK electronica group The Prodigy formed in Essex in 1990. Flint was a co-founder of the band.

The Prodigy has a number one album in Australia, the UK and USA with ‘The Fat of the Land’ in 1997. The album featured the controversial ‘Smack My Bitch Up’.

Hits of The Prodigy include ‘Voodoo People’, ‘Breathe’ and ‘Firestarter’.
