Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has reportedly signed on to play the father to Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow in the third instalment of ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’.
Months of negotiations were halted after Richards fell out of a coconut tree in Fiji in April. He has since recovered, and the Rolling Stones are set to recommence their world tour in Milan on July 11.
Depp famously based his whisky-and-sun drenched character on Richards. The actor said, “We’re all looking forward to the idea of Keith coming in and doing a cameo. You never say it’s definite until the guy steps on the set and the camera is rolling. But it’s looking very, very good.”
The first sequel to the film – ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest’ – is released this week.
