Keith Urban has cancelled a number of his upcoming shows to fly to his wife, Nicole Kidman’s, side as she deals with the sudden death of her father Dr. Antony Kidman.

Dr. Kidman had been visiting his daughter, Antonia, in Singapore when he died from a heart attack. He was 75.

Urban posted the following on his Facebook page:

I’m so very sorry that I cannot perform this weekend. We are in a deep state of grief at the passing of Nic’s Father and are heading to Australia to be with family. We want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for their love, prayers and support through this devastating loss. – KU

Keith, Nicole and family flew into Sydney on Sunday morning to be with Nicole’s mother and prepare the funeral arrangement.

Keith was scheduled to play at the Washington State Fair in Puyallup, WA on Sunday but the show has been moved to next year, September 19, 2015. His next scheduled show is September 27 in Hamilton, ON.
