New Zealand country artist Keith Urban this week clocks up 52 weeks in the Australian Top 30 album chart.
‘Ripcord’ was released exactly a year ago on May 6, 2016. It was Urban’s ninth album solo album not counting his 1997 album with his band The Ranch.
‘Ripcord’ was already three singles deep when it arrived. ‘John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16’ was released in June 2015, ‘Break On Me’ in October 2015 and ‘Wasted Time’ in April 2016.
The album was a change of direction to a more pop sound for Keith Urban. It even featured rapper Pitbull and R&B producer Nile Rogers on the song ‘Sun Don’t Let Me Down’.
Keith Urban ‘Ripcord’ is at no 20 this week. It debuted at no 1.
