Kenny Rogers Cancels All Remaining Dates On Farewell Tour

by Roger Wink, VVN Music on April 6, 2018

in News

Kenny Rogers has been on his farewell tour for quite some time and was planning on finishing up this year.

A series of reports have come out from venues across the country reporting that all of his future dates have been cancelled through the end of the year on the advice of his doctor. There is no indication of what Rogers is suffering although the letter sent to venues said it was due to a “series of health challenges”.

It also appears that there are no plans, at this time, to reschedule the shows for next year as the venues are instructing people on getting refunds.

“The Gambler’s Last Deal Tour” started on May 13, 2016 and hit its peak on October 25 of last year with the “All in For the Gambler: Kenny Rogers’ Farewell Concert” was held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville with a long list of guest artists from Dolly Parton to the Flaming Lips.

At the time of the announcement, Rogers still had eight dates on his schedule including two nights at the Beacon Theatre in New York in June and the Livewire Festival in Blackpool, England on August 25.
