Kim Wilde has included the family and friends on her new Christmas album.
‘Wilde Winter Songbook’, Kim’s first album of Christmas tunes features her friends Rick Astley and Nik Kershaw, her father, 60s pop star Marty Wilde and her brother Ricky Wilde.
Kim and Nik perform ‘Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree’, Rick Astley sings ‘Winter Wonderland’ and the family Marty and Ricky perform on the Fleet Foxes ‘White Winter Hymnal’.
About Rick she said, “I think Rick Astley’s and my voice go perfectly together; like a hot cup of tea and a digestive biscuit”.
The album features six new, original songs ‘Hope’, ‘One’, ‘New Life’, ‘Burn Gold’, ‘Song For Beryl’ and ‘Hey Mister Snowman.
Kim Wilde’s ‘Wilde Winter Songbook’ will be released in Australia on Public Opinion Music/Wildeflower Records.
