Kiss to Spend 2019 On Tour says Paul Stanley

Whether this is the one that will end the career of KISS or not, Paul Stanley is promising a huge tour for 2019.

Stanley appeared on CNBC, saying that KISS will hit the road in January 2019 with something that fans of the band haven’t seen before. “A major Kiss tour, I would say, starts at the end of January. It hasn’t been announced yet, so don’t tell anybody. … This will be the biggest tour we’ve done, the biggest show we’ve done.”

Gene Simmons told the Chicago Sun-Times earlier this week that “We can’t keep doing this forever. We are the hardest-working band in show business. If [Mick] Jagger stepped into my dragon boots, he couldn’t last a half hour.”

Back in February, KISS filed paperwork to trademark the phrase “The End of the Road” in reference to live music performances. Simmons later said he didn’t know about the filing with Stanley eventually stepping forward to say he initiated the action. “It’s not the first trademark that’s been filed. I thought it was a terrific name, and I was surprised nobody had used it before. I wanted to make sure that when we used it, and there will be a time that we do, I imagine — I wanted to be sure that we own it and it’s ours.”
