On October 11, Korn will celebrate the 21st anniversary of the release of their self-titled debut album.
The album was recorded in May and June of 1994 at Indigo Ranch Studios in Malibu, CA with Ross Robinson producing. Considered as one of the earliest of Nu Metal recordings, the album peaked at number 72 on the Billboard 200 but is now considered a classic of the genre.
The current band includes original members Jonathan Davis (vocals), James “Munky” Shaffer (guitar), Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu (bass) and Brian “Head” Welch (guitar) along with Ray Luzier (drums) who has been with the band for eight years. Zac Bair also tours with the group on keyboards.
Korn has released a total of eleven albums over the last 21 years with their latest being 2013’s The Paradigm Shift.
