Kyle MacLachlan will also again become FBI Agent Dale Cooper when Twin Peaks returns in 2016.
The iconic David Lynch show of the 90s ran for two seasons in 1990 and 1991. The show will return for a third season in 2016, marking its 25th anniversary.
MacLachlan had previously worked with Lynch in the 1986 movie ‘Bue Velvet’. He played the part of Ray Manzarek in Oliver Stone’s The Doors’ and was Clifford Vandercave in the movie version of ‘The Flintstones’.
Recently, MacLachlan was Calvin Zabo in four episodes of ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’
Twin Peaks also generated a hit song for Julee Cruise with ‘Falling’.
The new Twin Peaks will be written by the original creators David Lynch and Mark Frost. The series will have nine episode, set in the present day.
