Kylie Minogue’s work in the performing arts has earned her the Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) Award.

Kylie Minogue started her career in entertainment as a child star in Australia with roles in The Sullivans and Skyways. In 1985, at age 17, Kylie scored a lead role in The Henderson Kids. Her big role came in 1986 when she was cat as Charlene in Neighbours. It launched her to international fame, especially in the UK where she became a household name as a teenager.
Amanda Pelman at Mushroom Records had the idea to launch Kylie into a recording career and championed her signing to the label. Amanda’s foresight solidified Mushroom as a major force in Australian music and created the biggest international popstar Australia had ever generated.
Kylie is a great supporter of various childrens charities including Childline and the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children . As a breast cancer survivor, Kylie is also active in various charities for breast cancer research.
