Lady Antebellum kicked off the first night of the first Australian headline tour.

The country stars were last in Australia as special guests on the Keith Urban tour 18 months ago and have this time returned for their own shows, with special guest Tim Hart from Boy & Bear.
The setlist was peppered with the songs you would expect from their three studio albums ‘Lady Antebellum’, ‘Need You Know’ and ‘Own The Night’ opening with ‘We Owned The Night’ and ending with ‘Need You Now’.
The surprise was their covers of Aerosmith’s ‘Sweet Emotion’ and Johnny Cash’s ‘Ring Of Fire’.
The Lady Antebellum audience know every word or every song and stood for most of the show. It was a surprisingly young crowd too, mainly female, early 20s and most out for a night with their girlfriends.
Lady Antebellum will perform again tonight in Melbourne.
